cross your fingers

I just received a phone call for an interview on Friday at a restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale! I am really hoping for this job. It is an innovative organic rest. called Sublime. :) sooo... cross your fingers. It is everything I would want in a place if I had one of my own.
check it out... www.sublimerestaurant.com

Today has to be one of the hottest of the summer. withoutadoubt.
No complaints here...ok that's a lie. Our AC in the casa does not get much below 80, but have no fear... a new unit is being installed TODAYYYYY :)

Listening to Xavier Rudd puts me in a good mood.

fantasy land

So much has happened in the past FEW DAYS. Going through some rough patches right now, but no worries, the sun is shining on the other side! :)

I am a bit apprehensive about the Dave concert this weekend. I HOPE we go.

Applying for a new job is easier said than done. Well, actually, I take that back , it is the actual acceptance into the job that is arduous.

Someday we will have a restaurant of our very own wh
ere the food will be scrumptious and the ambiance so groovy
you won't want to leave. ;)

Someday...

have a lovely day

hello hello,

I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello.

Super frustrated today... I just took my Rav4 Sport to tire kingdom for the 3rd time since March 2010. Why? Oh, because they like to pretend they fixed everything wrong and MORE, when really it just seems like they are worsening the issue. (worsening? is that a word?...idk.)
My poor car.

In other news, the Heavy Pets are playing in KW tonight -saturday. Simon & I are attending said concert. :) If you have never heard of them and you are reading this... I suggest you check it. They are so totally noodles, man.

Just a little something to help make your day lovely...

life is a lesson waiting to be learned.

Hello fellow bloggers,

so much has happened since i last logged in. a lot of soul searching and evaluating.
that said, i discovered a few things...
1. i need to venture outside more on a day to day basis
2. i HAVE to find a job that fits my schedule ASAP
3. i love the town i live in but there is SO much more out there to see
4. i am head over heels in love with my boyfriend
5. school needs to become my number one priority, yesterday
6. being unhappy with myself/body is only going to make matters worse, i need to stop being so lazy and self loathing and start movin
7. there are some really great advantages of being 4'10"
8. the mountains are therapeutic
9. something about carrying a backpack filled with everything needed to survive just feels good

... i could ramble on all day about the things in life i have discovered but i will end here.

side note, i am so excited about the dave matthews/govt. mule concert on the 30th! supposedly ,and this could be completely invalid, this is dave's last year touring. i am not so sure if i believe this or not, but if the rumors prove to be true, i don't want to be sorry i missed this opportunity. his music makes me wonder, smile, cry, laugh, and puts me at ease...
he is an artist i could listen to just about every day.

today has proven to be a relaxing day thus far. when i woke up simon and i watched dexter season 4 episode 11, before even stepping foot out of bed. it was pretty amazing. episode 12 is the last one, ever. i am half tempted to pu
t off watching it just so it isn't over in my mind. pathetic or passionate?

i rode my lovely black and hot pink beach cruiser to the beach and enjoyed a fabulous hour in the sun reading The House on Mango Street. ahhh, talk about stress relief. however, the ride home was slightly disturbing. the bridge that takes us over the intracoastal, almost daily, is going to be closed for construction from july 20th until december 13th. inconvenient? yes.

let's put away the past and let the future set us free...

today is a day just like any other...

Feeling a little down today. I made some decisions with work that are causing my life to become a little disorganized. The reasoning behind it all is quickly falling through...

All I want to do is travel and see the places I have never been & experience things I have only imagined. I know this sounds childish but my life has come to a point where I figure, why not? As long as I can figure out how to get by and be happy that is all that matters, right?

On a lighter note, my dog is the light in my life. She knows what I am feeling and she is more loving than anything I could ever ask for. Plus, she keeps all of my deepest secrets. ;)

with a little help from my friends

What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
and I'll try not to sing out of key

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, Gonna try with a little help from my friends

What do I do when my love is away
Does it worry you to be alone
How do you feel by the end of the day
Are you sad because you're on your own

No, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm,Gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love

Would you believe in a love at first sight
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light
I can't tell you, but I know it's mine

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Oh, Gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody
I just need someone to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, Gonna try with a little help from my friends
Oh, I get high with a little help from my friends
Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends,
with a little help from my friends

eron electric eel visits delray

Hello Friends,

I feel lucky for having such a great topic to start my blog with! This past weekend was the day o' independence and my best friend Erin came to visit. It was an action packed weekend. Upon her arrival we went out for drinks at Two Georges, a rad bar on the water in Boynton. We decided the night was young and we felt like bowling. It was an awfully fun night. We even managed to help heighten the night of an underage employee named Brian. I have no idea what time we left, but I do know the bowling alley was open until 4 am.
The actual fourth of July started off on the slow side as you could imagine. As we slowly but surely got ourselves together we ventured to la playa. An overcast morning turned into a rainy evening. No worries my friends, the people of Delray like to get wet. Vendors were set up along A1A and bands played proudly. We gathered and danced under a cover near the bar at Bostons where they had a stage set up for red white and blues. It was fun while it lasted but paying $4 a beer quickly became old. We hitched a ride home with a rather patriotic cab driver where we showered and ate jewish hot dogs and mac & cheese. A very tasty meal I might add. Of course, we watched an amazing firework display at the beach, in the rain. Parking was a pain in the ass, but Simon came through and figured out a quick fix to our jam.
Posted up in the rain in watching fireworks with my love and good friend, not too shabby. :)
The weekend was a super success and loads of excitement.
Erin just left which makes me a bit blue, but I get to forever adore the FABULOUS painting she so thoughtfully made me for my 24th birthday.
